Construction Management/General Contracting

Flatiron also provides Construction Management/General Contracting (CM/GC) services - an innovative procurement method that involves early partnering between owner, designer, and contractor to jointly develop projects.

This approach enables owners to benefit from designer and contractor expertise at an early stage in the procurement process, ensuring maximum opportunities for value engineering.

CM/GC teams jointly perform value engineering, feasibility studies, environmental processing and permitting, design, and constructability reviews. Because relationships are established early, the team forms a true partnership that can be carried all the way through construction and project completion.

Flatiron is currently working on a CM/GC contract with the Exposition Construction Authority to design and construct the new Exposition Light Rail Transit Line in Los Angeles, California. We are also leading the CM/GC team for the new Foothill Transportation Corridor-South, a 15-mile toll road in Orange County, California.
