Flatiron Project Wins Two Awards from AGC California
Firestone, Colo. (Apr. 17, 2012) - Flatiron's State Route 92/Interstate 880 Interchange Reconstruction project in Hayward, Calif., has won an Excellence in Partnering Award in the Projects Over $50 Million category and a Constructor Award for Excellence in Project Management in the Projects Over $10 Million category from the Associated General Contractors of California. The awards were presented at the 2012 AGC of California Awards Banquet on April 14 in San Francisco.
The SR 92/I-880 Interchange project was reconstructed by a joint venture team of Flatiron and Granite Construction. Flatiron and Granite partnered closely with owner California Department of Transportation to develop innovative solutions to mitigate delays and finish this complex job a month ahead of schedule.
