Flatiron General Counsel Earns ‘Woman of Distinction’ Award

Broomfield, Colorado (May 31, 2016) – Melody Pickett, Flatiron general counsel, was honored by a nationally renowned Los Angeles law firm, Alston & Bird, at its 12th annual Women of Distinction Reception in March.

Pickett was one of two honorees at the event, which celebrated women who have demonstrated excellence, leadership and integrity in their fields and in the community and who have served as role models for other successful women. More than 60 clients, colleagues, friends and guests were in attendance.

Pickett is responsible for advising Flatiron on all legal matters, project pursuits, ethics and compliance and company strategic initiatives, including new business ventures and acquisitions. With nearly 30 years of legal experience in the areas of real estate, construction and general corporate law, Pickett also serves on the board of Bridges to Prosperity.

The awards are part of Alston & Bird’s Women’s Initiative, a firm-wide program that supports women and helps them build strong networks, both within the firm and with the broader community.
