Flatiron is pleased to announce that Jim Schneiderman, P.E. will lead the corporation’s newly formed mid-Atlantic district as Vice President and District Manager.
Based in Morrisville, North Carolina, the mid-Atlantic district will further establish Flatiron’s presence as a prominent civil constructor in the region’s growing market.

As Vice President, Schneiderman will be fully responsible for the operational leadership of the mid-Atlantic district ranging from Maryland to North Carolina (excluding the Hampton Roads Bridge & Tunnel Project). His role includes the continued development of operational growth and excellence, providing technical knowledge and mentorship on projects and building strong relationships with project owners and partners.
Schneiderman is a professional engineer and construction manager with more than 20 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry. He joins Flatiron from PCL, where he most recently served as District Manager for the transportation infrastructure group in the southeast and mid-Atlantic U.S. He was Principal In Charge of numerous notable projects including the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge in New Haven, CT, the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge replacement in Outer Banks, NC, the Gilmerton Bascule Bridge replacement in Chesapeake, VA and U.S. Route 701 bridge replacements in Georgetown, SC.
Schneiderman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University.
