I-5 Oso Parkway

Our I-5 Oso Parkway Project is located in the southern region of Orange County, one of most populated counties in the United States. Flatiron is widening a nearly three-mile stretch of Interstate 5. This will provide motorists with the benefit of an additional general-purpose lane in each direction, helping with current and future travel demands. As part of the project, our teams are constructing seven bridges in three locations, 22 retaining walls (multiple types including permanent soil nail, vertical and horizontal ground anchor, and mechanically stabilized earth systems), large scale paving operations and significant improvements to drainage and electrical infrastructure.

Along with innovative engineering solutions to accommodate construction of these new structures, Flatiron is also working on active commuter and freight rail lines and various waterways. We are also able to maintain traffic in both directions of the interstate with minimal interruptions to commuters.

Nearly three mile-stretch will add additional general purpose lanes, improved intersections and widened ramps.

Project includes several roadway, structural and operational improvements.
