Caltrans Recognizes Flatiron Project with Partnering Award

Broomfield, Colorado (April 29, 2016) – Flatiron West Inc. and joint venture partner DeSilva Gates Construction were honored by the North Region of the California Department of Transportation.

The team constructing the Willits Bypass project received a Gold Partnering Success in Motion Award, which recognizes the excellent work of project teams working on current projects.

Willits Bypass is a new segment of Route 101 that runs north-south along the length of California, between San Francisco and Eureka. The project, which began in February 2013, will work to relieve congestion, reduce delays and improve safety, and includes the construction of nearly six miles of highway, two interchanges and 15 bridges.
