Flatiron Earns DBIA Awards for Yadkin, SDIA Green Build Projects

Firestone, Colorado (August 12, 2014) – Flatiron, one of the largest infrastructure contractors in North America, won two National Awards for Merit from the Design Build Institute of America as part of the 19th annual Design-Build Project/Team Awards. Flatiron’s Yadkin River Bridge project in Salisbury, North Carolina, earned an award in the Transportation category. The San Diego International Airport Green Build project in San Diego, California, won in the Aviation category.

The DBIA awards program recognizes exemplary collaboration and integration in design-build project delivery. A panel of industry experts selected the projects for demonstrating excellence in design, process and teaming, in addition to achieving budget and schedule goals and exceeding owner expectations. One project in each category will be named a National Award of Excellence winner at the DBIA Design-Build Conference and Expo on October 7 in Dallas, Texas.
