Flatiron Wins Caltrans Partnering Awards

Flatiron, one of the largest infrastructure contractors in North America, has won two Excellence in Partnering Awards from the California Department of Transportation. Flatiron’s Big Bear Bridge won a silver award in the projects between $10 and $50 million category, and the Interstate 15 Managed Lanes, Unit 1 North project won a bronze award in the projects greater than $50 million category. The Caltrans Excellence in Partnering Awards recognize teams who use partnering best practices to facilitate successful projects. In total, 23 projects were recognized in 2013 that demonstrate the benefits of partnering to Caltrans, its partners and the public. The awards will be presented April 18 in Sacramento, Calif. Flatiron, with a construction volume of more than $1 billion in 2012, is one of the leading providers of infrastructure construction in North America. Flatiron develops innovative solutions to construct roads, bridges, tunnels, and rail transit and water/wastewater treatment plants, for both public and private clients. Flatiron also operates as a contractor in design-build and public-private partnership projects.
