Message from Flatiron President Javier Sevilla on Construction Inclusion Week
This week, Flatiron is participating in the first-ever Construction Inclusion Week, an industrywide event taking place October 18-22.
Initiated by industry peers, Construction Inclusion Week is an industry effort calling for change by identifying “ways to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in construction.” We’re glad to see our industry’s recognition of this important topic and we’re proud to unite with our peers to encourage focused conversations to drive diversity, equity and inclusion.
This collective effort gives the construction industry an opportunity to work together, learn from one another and speak with one voice. We believe that through collaboration and consistent commitments and actions, our industry can strive to become one that maintains a safe and inclusive work environment—empowering employees to reach their full potential.
At Flatiron, we are committed to enhancing an inclusive environment for all employees. We are setting goals to improve diversity within our organization, working to incorporate equity into our policies and providing training to help us grow as inclusive leaders.
