Flatiron has partnered with Pulice Construction Inc., and FNF Construction Inc. to form a joint venture that is widening 11-miles of the I-10 freeway, starting near Sky Harbor International Airport on the north end.

Travelers will have the benefit of six general purpose lanes and two high-occupancy vehicle lanes along stretches of the project. Several bridges (both for vehicles and pedestrians) will be reconstructed or widened to allow for greater traffic capacity. New sound and retaining walls are being installed in areas of the project where needed as well.

It is the largest urban freeway reconstruction project in Arizona’s sprawling Maricopa County, which includes the Phoenix area. It will benefit Phoenix and its East Valley suburbs, which have all seen tremendous growth over the past decades.
