The I-40 construction in Davie County consists of a 6.551 mile stretch from mile marker 162.58 to mile marker 169.14. The project scope is primarily shoulder strengthening both east and west bound with twelve edge-of-travel-way drainage areas. Additionally, there are two main line bridges that will be demolished and reconstructed. There are several concrete panel replacements throughout the project, and the project, in its entirety, will receive an asphalt overlay.

Rehabilitation of existing structures is incorporated into this project.
