Ural leads Flatiron’s client satisfaction, business development and preconstruction initiatives. He focuses on enhancing the company’s opportunity pipeline — positioning Flatiron to win new work while maintaining a risk-balanced project portfolio and ensuring a successful preconstruction effort to achieve the best possible outcomes that meet clients’ goals.

Ural joined Flatiron in 2017, working in the Southwest Division. During his 24-year career, he has focused on acquisitions, operations, commercial management and business strategy. He has helped win and build many high-profile projects in highways, transit, water/wastewater and other heavy civil construction fields.

Ural holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a Master of Business Administration degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California, past president of the San Francisco Chapter of Engineers Without Borders and current vice president of the Highway & Transportation Division of Associated General Contractors of California.
