Senior Vice President, Western Region
Richard Grabinski is senior vice president of the Western Region, in charge of Flatiron operations in California and Washington. He has more than 23 years of experience in the construction industry. During his time with Flatiron, Richard has been instrumental in the pursuit and construction of major Flatiron projects including the Oakland Airport Connector design-build, Calaveras Dam Replacement Project, and the Presidio Parkway P3 project. Richard was promoted to lead the Western Region in 2014. He previously was district manager for Northern California, responsible for over $200 million in annual sales and all aspects of operations including safety, estimating, equipment and engineering, personnel and business development. Prior to his district manager responsibilities, Richard was in operations management for northern California. Richard is a member of the International Partnering Institute Board of Advisors, works as a mentor with the Caltrans District 4 Mentor-Protégé Program and serves on the Caltrans Construction Partnering Steering Committee. Richard has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.

Flatiron's Western Division has extensive experience building and repairing transportation infrastructure on the West Coast of the U.S.
With operations across California and in Washington, Flatiron specializes in bridge and roadway construction, managed lane projects, transit and rail work, utility and underground projects, airport improvement projects and other civil infrastructure. The Division is currently constructing the Presidio Parkway project, a public-private partnership to reconstruct the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
