Awards & Recognition, Life at Flatiron

Brittany Waddell Recognized for her Service to Environmental Certification Group

Members of Flatiron’s sustainability team don’t hit pause on their passion for green construction when work ends for the day. For her volunteer work, San Diego District Environmental Manager Brittany Waddell has been given the “Annual Service Award” from EnviroCert International, Inc. The nonprofit is a leader in awarding certifications in water compliance and green building.

“I am thrilled to have received this award,” she says. “EnviroCert does amazing work in offering the advanced training sustainability professionals need. For example, they are the only organization authorized by California’s Office of Water Programs to offer training to become an official Qualified Stormwater Developer.”

Among Brittany’s volunteer projects with the nonprofit, is helping keep the certification programs current with regulations.

Not surprisingly, she holds a variety of advanced environmental certifications herself, including stormwater plus sediment and erosion control. She has more than a decade of environmental inspection experience on large civil construction projects.

Congratulations Brittany, and thanks for your dedication to the highest levels of compliance in sustainable construction.
